We are on a journey.
Each and every one of us.
This blog is dedicated to our personal journey, both physical and spiritual, and the people and places that will inspire us as we take it.
We’ve always derived tremendous satisfaction from making things ourselves, whether it be a simple dinner made from scratch or building our own coffee table, and we have often surprised ourselves in what we are capable of doing.
We want to take this a step further and hit the road to learn more and to discover the craftsmen, artisans and creatives who can teach us how to produce as much as possible on our own.
These people will be passionate masters of their craft who, through sustainable practices and engagement, display mindfulness of their impact on their community.
We want to work side by side with them in a brief apprenticeship to gain a better understanding of their craft, share their stories, highlight what makes them unique and promote their product and/or business.
In turn, we will share what we’ve learned with those of you who want to be more self-sustaining by baking your own bread, making your own soap, brewing your own beer, or any number of things we discover along the way.
This is our mission to celebrate the journey of life, to learn as much as we can, to share as much as we can and, hopefully, tell great stories as we go.
At the end of the day, we want to meet good people, eat good food, drink good drink, make love, and have fun.
